Chasse Québec & Michel Therrien

Fish'n Fils is a Quebec-based initiative dedicated to promoting outdoor family activities, particularly fishing. Founded by Martin Bibaud and his two sons in 2016, the organization aims to foster the next generation of anglers by encouraging the discovery of the joy of fishing as a family.

The project began with web episodes on family fishing and quickly evolved to include free fishing events and outings for families, organized with the support of numerous partners and volunteers. With RELÈVE fishing licenses for ages 9 to 12, Fish n Fils aims to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable fishing and preservation of natural resources, while creating unforgettable memories.

La Fly à Dan

Daniel is a true fly fishing enthusiast. He started fishing at the age of 10, and took up fly fishing at 28, giving him 30 years of experience. He has been fly tying for 16 years and began selling his flies through word of mouth. He has had his Facebook page, “La Fly à Dan,” for four years, where he sells his flies, shirts, and caps, and where he also shares his experience with fly fishing using a sinking line, as well as tips for those who fish with a light fly rod, whether for brook trout, grayling, salmon, or walleye. He has introduced several people to this technique and has shown some how to make their own flies. As he often says, “La Fly à Dan—to try it, is to love it.”

Mouvement Kanamouche

The idea for Mouvement Kanamouche was born in the spring of 2017. The goal was to offer high school students the opportunity to learn fly fishing techniques. But the idea didn't stop there. While they were at it, why not teach them how to make their own fishing equipment, such as artificial flies and fly rods?

Michel Sylvestre, founder of Mouvement Kanamouche, has been a television producer for 35 years. An avid fly fisherman, he learned how to make bamboo fly rods from an American manufacturer in 2015. Deeply involved in the Kanamouche Movement, Michel's goal is to grow this initiative among young people and pass on his passion to them.
